about
"Zona Rossa" is an album composed and recorded by Le Trou Electronique during the lockdown in Italy. Several months of distance are a lot for a collective which is based on improvisation techniques. We were used to play together in the same space, in the same time but during the lockdown it was not possible so we decided to challenge ourselves and create this new experiment.
Every musician worked from his/her own home, in a continous flow of recordings and ideas, words and listenings.
All the tracks were released in the past months as "singles" to underline our loneliness and our distance, but also to show you, our audience, the journey we were making together and to share it with you step by step.
The final plan was to reunite all the tracks, as we hope to be able to do with our bodies at the end of this difficult moment.
Every track has its own unique style and the album is made up by all the different souls that inhabits these isolation times.
"Zona Rossa" is also a map, to navigate in different places, even if we stand still inside the same four walls.
Our bodies can be distant form each other but our souls are in the same time and space.
