Le Trou Electronique is not just a "band". It's a collective project that not only involves musicians and performers playing on stage, but also videomakers, visual artists, technicians, venues and many other people who are part of our community.

Le Trou Electronique's goal is to promote the cultural scene in a strong connection with all the people who are part of it, and to spread a new way of making art and music which is valuable and sustainable for our society.
For example: we are planning to create a festival about improvisation with masterclasses for musicians and concerts for the audience, in an attempt to connect the world of contemporary and experimental music with our community here in Italy. The pandemic of course has delayed this, but we continue to plan so that the project can proceed at the appropriate time.

In this difficult moment for art workers, we are not giving up. We are trying to involve as many people as possible in new projects. We are exploring the potential of the internet as a tool to sustain our cultural scene, which is nearing extinction.

We do this at our own expense - using our time and our energy - with the hope that we will be able to give a new life to something that is struggling. Also, the people who work with us are doing the same: creating a grassroots movement that needs your support.

For this reason we decided to open the subscription service here on Bandcamp. With a monthly payment (5 euros) you can support all of our present and future projects. Your help will go towards sustaining the cultural scene we are are part of.

But of course this is not a one-way relationship!

Le Trou Electronique non è solo una “band”. È un progetto collettivo che coinvolge musicisti e performer, videomaker, artisti visivi, tecnici, luoghi di aggregazione e tante persone che fanno parte della nostra comunità.

Il nostro obiettivo è quello di promuovere la vita culturale del posto in cui viviamo, creando una rete di relazioni con tutti i suoi soggettivi attivi, per diffondere un’idea nuova e sostenibile di arte e cultura che abbia un valore all’interno del contesto sociale.

Un esempio? Stiamo organizzando un festival sull’improvvisazione e la musica di ricerca che prevede masterclass per musicisti e performance per il pubblico, nel tentativo di connettere il mondo della musica sperimentale e contemporanea con la comunità in cui viviamo. Ovviamente la pandemia ha ritardato i nostri piani, ma non dubitate: appena sarà possibile questo progetto prenderà vita.

È un momento difficilissimo per tutti i lavoratori dello spettacolo ma non ci diamo per vinti: stiamo infatti coinvolgendo molti artisti in nuovi progetti, stiamo ripensando ad internet come strumento di connessione per alimentare il nostro contesto culturale che si trova vicino all’estinzione.

Lo facciamo tutto a nostre spese, usando il nostro tempo e le nostre energie, nella speranza di tenere in vita qualcosa che sta lentamente svanendo. Anche tutte le persone che collaborano con noi fanno lo stesso, in uno sforzo dal basso che ora ha bisogno del vostro supporto.

Per questo motivo abbiamo deciso di creare un servizio di abbonamento qui su Bandcamp. Con una piccola cifra mensile (5 euro) supporterete tutti i nostri progetti e le persone che ci lavorano insieme a noi. Il vostro aiuto servirà a mantenere vivo il contesto culturale di cui facciamo parte.
